Effective April 3, 2008, or as contracts allow, BASF will increase its prices by U.S. $0.04 per wet pound in the United States and Canada on all Acronal® and Acronal Optive® all-acrylic latex products, Acronal styrene-acrylic latex products, and Basonal® multi-monomer latex products used in the adhesives, fiber bonding, architectural coatings, paper and construction markets.

 

Also effective on April 3, 2008, BASF will increase its prices by U.S. $0.04 per dry pound in the United States and Canada for all Butofan® medium solids styrene-butadiene latex products and for Styrofan® and Styronal® styrene-butadiene latex products used in the adhesives, architectural coatings, sealants, construction, paper and nonwovens markets.

 

This action is necessary due to significant increases in cost that BASF has experienced for raw materials, freight and energy.
