Ciba is increasing prices across its pigment and additive product ranges for coatings applications. Price increases of 5-20 percent will be applied immediately or as contracts allow.

 

Siegfried Winkelbeiner, Global Head of Business Line Coatings at Ciba, explained, “In addition to our ongoing efforts to improve efficiency across operations, price increases are necessary to support continued investment in capacity and innovation in our coatings business and to help absorb the significant increases in raw material, energy and transport costs. We will work with our customers to mitigate the impact as much as possible.”
