Effective May 1, 2008, Cognis will be implementing a 5-7 percent price increase for the Photomer® and Bisomer™ lines of UV/EB-cure acrylates and methacrylates. This increase is necessary to mitigate the impact of increasing raw material, energy and transportation costs.

 

Cognis Corp.’s Functional Products Business has announced a price increase for the NAFTA region. Effective May 1, 2008, or as provided by individual contracts, prices for TOFA-based dimer acids will increase by $0.08/lb; distilled and hydrogenated TOFA-based dimers will increase by $0.11/lb; and oleic acid-based dimer acids will increase $0.34/lb. Additionally, solid and liquid polyamide dimer acid derivatives will increase between $0.04/lb and $0.15/lb.
