Bayer MaterialScience Raises Prices for Hydroxyacrylates and Polyesters
In the region of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Bayer MaterialScience AG, Leverkusen, Germany, is raising the selling prices for hydroxyacrylates and also saturated and unsaturated polyesters by an average of EUR 0.13/kg effective April 1, 2007. The persistently high cost level for raw materials and energy cannot be offset by internal measures to increase efficiency alone. With this measure, the company wants to safeguard sufficient production capacities for the market and the supply of product with the quality the market demands.
