Dianal America Increases Prices In response to continued upward pressure on raw material and other costs, Dianal America, Inc., Pasadena, TX, will increase prices of acrylic bead resins by 8 cents/pound effective August 1, 2007, or as contracts allow.
Air Products Increases Price for Acrylic Emulsion Products Effective July 16, 2007, Air Products Polymers, L.P., Allentown, PA, will implement a four-cent ($0.04) per wet pound price increase for acrylic-based polymers marketed by the company in the United States and Canada. This includes products under the Flexcryl®, Airflex® and Flexbond® trademarks. The increase is driven by increased feedstock, raw material and energy costs associated with the manufacture and distribution of these products.
BASF Raises Price for Acrylic and Styrene-Acrylic Latex Effective July 16, 2007, or as contracts allow, BASF will increase its prices by $0.04 per wet pound in the United States and Canada on all Acronal Optive® all-acrylic and Acronal® styrene-acrylic latex products used in the adhesives and fiber bonding, architectural coatings and construction markets. This action is a result of increased raw material, feedstock, freight and energy costs.
Southern Clay Products Increases Prices Effective August 1, 2007, Southern Clay Products, Inc., Gonzales, TX, will increase the price of all Claytone and Tixogel organoclay additives up to 7 percent. This action is being taken to help offset the historically unprecedented increase in raw materials, specifically bleached fancy tallow (BFT), a key intermediate in the production of organoclays. The increase impacts all geographic regions and market segments.
