Ciba Announces Price Increases for Pigments and Additives
Ciba has announced that its Coating Effects Segment will implement price increases for most pigments and additives of 5 percent to up to 30 percent for some specific products. Price increases will be effective immediately or as contracts allow.
The increases result from significant increases in raw material and energy costs. In addition, the closing of several raw-material production plants in China to limit environmental impact, as well as the recent reduction of export tax rebates in China, has led to major additional price increases for certain raw materials.
