Dow Announces Price Increases
Effective December 1, 2007, or as contract terms allow, the Polyurethanes business of the Dow Chemical Co. will increase prices in the United States and Canada for its VORANOLTM copolymer polyether polyols by U. S. $0.08/lb. Dow also announced that it will raise both list and off-list prices on a number of its oxygenated solvents products in North America effective December 1, 2007, or as contracts allow.    

BASF Raises Prices for Acrylic Acid/Esters
Effective November 15, 2007, or as allowed by contract, BASF will increase its prices in North America by at least $0.07 per pound for its acrylic acid and acrylic esters, including glacial acrylic acid, methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, n-butyl acrylate and 2-ethyl hexyl acrylate.    

IMERYS Increases Ground Calcium Carbonate Prices
Effective December 1, 2007, or as contracts allow, IMERYS Performance Minerals & Pigments Asia Pacific will raise prices on all ground calcium carbonate (GCC) products by an average of 15 percent. The increase will apply to marble chips and all associated processed products, including GCC powders and slurry, throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
