WASHINGTON — The New Zealand Paint Manufacturers Association (NZPMA) is the newest member of the International Paint and Printing Ink Council (IPPIC). NZPMA is the leading body representing manufacturers and suppliers of paint, inks, resins and adhesives in the New Zealand marketplace and at the government level, addressing industry issues and providing training to industry professionals. The business sector NZPMA represents comprises approximately 250 companies employing over 15,000 people across the country. In addition, the association works closely with its Australian counterpart, the Australian Paint Manufacturers’ Federation, which is also a member of IPPIC.

According to IPPIC President Bill McPherson, retired Managing Director for Marine and Protective Coatings at International Paint (AkzoNobel), "For the past few years we have welcomed new members to IPPIC. This is highly desirable as it increases the representation and knowledge of what is happening in our industry. We are very pleased that the New Zealand Association has taken this important step."

IPPIC currently includes members representing associations from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, EU, France, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, South Africa, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States. The American Coatings Association currently serves in the Secretariat position.
