Give a brief synopsis of research/work being done.

We look at chemical composition and morphology of polyacrylonitrile carbon fiber precursors and what role they can play in improving performance of carbon fiber. 

From your current perspective, what do you see as an ideal fit for your skills, goals and career moving forward?

The ideal fit would be in an industry setting working on creating sustainable products of tomorrow.

Why did you choose USM?

Excellent academic programs and scholarship opportunities.

What USM-related scholarships did you receive?

Presidential Scholarship.

What is your main USM extracurricular activity – why is this important to you?

Probably the activity I have put the most time into other than studies has been intramural soccer. It is an important part of my life as I have played the sport as long as I can remember and it is a good way to stay healthy.

What has been your most profound turning point while at USM?

My junior year when the polymer science-specific classes began and I began working in the Wiggins Research Group.

What are your plans for next year and beyond?

Hopefully find gainful and fulfilling employment.

While at USM, what other accomplishments/activities are you most proud of?

Passing coatings.
