LOS ANGELES - GreenBuild was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, October 2-8, 2016. Monday and Tuesday were dedicated to workshops and tours, while Wednesday and Thursday were primarily educational sessions and the exposition floor was open to meet with exhibitors. Friday held tours and educational sessions with Saturday’s wrap-up consisting only of tours. The conference drew about 15,000 attendees this year; down from over 22,000 in 2015 when it was held in Chicago.

Greenbuild is the world's largest conference and expo dedicated to green building. The green building community gathers to share ideals and mutual passion at Greenbuild and features three days of speakers, networking opportunities, industry showcases, LEED workshops and tours of the host city's green buildings.

Several paint companies were in attendance with booths, and both Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore had educational sessions conducted, in a classroom-type booth on the exposition floor. Other coatings companies included Dunn-Edwards, Vermont Natural Coatings, TREMCO and TNEMEC. In an unusual display, TNEMEC was marketing a “living roof” of vegetation , which resides on the top of rooftop prepared with their coatings.

In 2017, the event will be held at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center on Nov. 8-10. It will take place at McCormick Place (West Building) in Chicago Nov. 14-16, 2018, and at the Georgia World Congress  Center  in Atlanta Nov. 20-22, 2019.
