High-Shear Mixer Designed for Vacuum Processing and Emulsification

A new high shear mixer from ROSS is designed for solid-liquid mixing, emulsification and fine dispersion under vacuum conditions. The system features a 2.5-inch rotor/stator head with a 10-gallon stainless steel Type 316 vessel rated to 29.5"Hg vacuum and 50 psig jacket pressure for heating or cooling.
The dished-bottom vessel includes a flush tank ball valve for efficient discharge. A touchscreen control panel offers speed control, cycle timing and safety lockouts when the mixing head is raised or vessel is misaligned.
Typical applications include adhesives, coatings, cosmetics and specialty chemicals. The HSM-100LH-3 model is mounted on casters for easy transport.
