Digitate and Tata Chemicals Ltd. (TCL) announced the implementation of an AI-powered spend intelligence platform designed to enhance procurement processes across TCL’s operations in India, Kenya, the U.K. and the U.S. The system uses AI for spend classification, optimization and compliance monitoring, with the goal of improving visibility into procurement patterns, streamlining reporting and reducing redundant purchases.
Developed collaboratively between the companies, the solution—branded internally by TCL as “SAKSHAM”—has been deployed across all Indian sites and is now expanding globally. According to TCL, the system has supported automation of reporting functions, enhanced audit readiness, and helped reduce manual efforts in procurement tasks such as annual contract management and KPI tracking.
The platform, part of Digitate’s ignio™ Cognitive Procurement suite, was co-developed with input from TCL and integrates digital controls and AI to support enterprise-grade procurement strategies.
