PPG announced it is sponsoring a continuing education course designed for American Board of Optometry (ABO) certified opticians. The course, The Mystery Behind the Lens: Demystifying Monomers and Coatings, focuses on helping Approved Technical Level 2 opticians explain key lens technologies and performance benefits to patients.

Developed by Deborah Kotob, ABOM, and hosted on 20/20 magazine’s Pro to Pro education platform, the course draws on PPG’s expertise in optical materials. It features the company’s CR-39® lens monomer and TRIVEX® lens material to explore lens development, casting, and coating technologies.
