Honeywell announced the future board of directors for Solstice Advanced Materials, a specialty materials company that will be created following its planned spin-off in the fourth quarter of 2025. Solstice will hold positions in refrigerants, semiconductor materials, protective fibers and healthcare packaging solutions.
The 10-person board will be led by Dr. Rajeev Gautam, former president and CEO of Honeywell Performance Materials and Technologies, as independent chair. David Sewell, president and CEO of the Solstice Advanced Materials business, will also serve. They will be joined by Peter Gibbons, former supply chain leader at 3M; Fiona Laird, chief human resources officer at Marathon Petroleum; Rose Lee, former CEO of Cornerstone Building Brands; William Oplinger, president and CEO of Alcoa; Somasundaram “Soma” Somasundaram, former CEO of ChampionX; Matthew Trerotola, former CEO of Enovis; Patrick Ward, former CFO of Cummins; and Brian Worrell, former CFO of Baker Hughes.
“This is an exceptional and strategically diversified group of directors, who will bring cross-sector insight and proven leadership across the industries and technologies that will shape Solstice’s future,” said Vimal Kapur, chairman and CEO of Honeywell.
The newly appointed board will assume its role upon completion of the spin-off later this year.
