Evonik Announces Changes to Executive Board

Evonik announced that Chief Financial Officer Maike Schuh is departing after ten years with the company.
Schuh, who joined the Executive Board in April 2023, previously led the accounting unit, helped establish the Performance Materials division in 2020, and became Managing Director of that division in 2022. Chief Executive Officer Christian Kullmann will temporarily assume responsibility for the finance department at the Executive Board level. Dr. Claus Rettig, an Associated Member of the Executive Board and head of the Asia-Pacific region, will manage Schuh’s operational duties until a successor is named.
The company also extended the contract of Chief Human Resources Officer and Labor Director Thomas Wessel until 2028. Wessel, who has served on the Executive Board since 2011, oversees human resources, infrastructure, and sustainability.
