BASF Automotive Refinish, Southfield, MI, announced a sponsorship and supply arrangement with Ford Motor Co.'s newly opened Ford Paint and Body Technology Center in Ypsilanti, MI, a facility designed to provide R&D capabilities and improve productivity and quality of collision-repair procedures involving Ford vehicles. The facility is designed to help develop and evaluate collision-repair procedures, products and equipment, and is being supplied with BASF's Glasurit 90 Line waterborne basecoat/clearcoat system that is identical to OEM finishes.
