STOCKHOLM — Becker Powder Coatings, the powder coatings business of A.B. Wilhelm Becker, announced an agreement to acquire 70% of Progetto Due S.p.A. of Italy, a powder-coatings producer launched in 1996. The company has been named Becker Polveri S.p.A., and will continue to be led by current Managing Director Silvio Pozzoli.

Progetto’s products include powder-on-coil coatings for architectural aluminum and powder coatings applied with supercritical CO2. Becker said the acquisition will expand its presence in the southern-European powder-coatings market.
A.B. Wilhelm Becker is a major European supplier of specialty industrial coatings, including coil coatings and wood finishes.
