WOODLAND PARK, NJ – Cytec Industries Inc. is starting work on the first phase of a major capacity expansion of its PTZ phenothiazine plant in Mount Pleasant, TN. This expansion will enable Cytec to continue to supply phenothiazine product to meet growing customer demands. The first phase will increase capacity by 20 percent. The second phase will be completed in 2013. Cytec supplies phenothiazine as an inhibitor to the global acrylic acid, ester and monomer markets in the form of a prill (small bead) for which Cytec holds patents in all major producing countries.
