WAALWIJK, the Netherlands - On November 18, 2005, Monika Riese-Martin, business unit director of DSM NeoResins, officially opened the new regional center in Shanghai. The opening ceremony was attended by Steven Chu (Business Manager Coatings Asia Pacific), Sjaak Griffioen (Business Manager Adhesives and Graphic Arts) and Henk van de Wiel (Commercial Director). The event took place just after the Chinacoat exhibition, where DSM NeoResins, DSM Coating Resins and the newly acquired Chinese resins business of Syntech joined forces.

The new facility in Shanghai replaces the Singapore base, where NeoResins had serviced the markets for acrylic and polyurethane resins for the past 18 years. "With the new setup in Shanghai at the DSM R&D Centre China site, we will be even closer to our main customers and major markets than before," said van de Wiel.
