SHANGHAI, China – Evonik’s production plant for thermoplastic methacrylic resins in Shanghai, China, is now completed. The plant features the new Continuous Direct Polymerization (CDP™) process for making products used primarily as binders in the coating industry. These DEGALAN® products perform in all areas of application that call for a superior level of weather resistance, colorfastness and high brilliance. The main applications for these products are in marine and container paints, plastic coatings, road markings, metal coatings, ceramic transfer lacquers, and printing inks.
