The beads offer shorter grinding times and longer life than lower-density ceramic media, such as zirconium silicate and zirconia-silica, which have a density of about 4 g/cc. Ideal for grinding thick, water-based products that have been "off-limits" to carbon steel balls and shot, "ZY" creates much cleaner grinds and does not discolor the final product.
