VICOTE™ Coatings are designed to offer enhanced durability and high performance for a longer life compared to traditional fluoropolymer coatings. The key ingredient of the new coatings is VICTREX® PEEK™ polymer, a high-performance, linear, aromatic, semi-crystalline polymer. Tests have revealed that the new coatings have the potential to extend the life of applications by between 50 and 200% due to their excellent scratch, wear, heat, and chemical resistance. They also offer good adhesion to the substrate, negating the need for a primer during the coating process. The ability to apply the coatings without a primer and the ability to achieve thin coatings contribute to reductions in systems cost.
