PITTSBURGH/LEVERKUSEN, Germany – LANXESS Corp.’s Inorganic Pigments Group (IPG) is expanding its distributor network, which currently includes Dowd and Guild Inc. and J.F. Shelton Co., to include CNX Distribution, L.V. Lomas Limited, McCullough & Associates, and Palmer Holland. These distributors will sell the company’s Bayferrox® inorganic pigments. All companies will also distribute IPG’s Chrome Oxide Green and natural iron oxide pigments.
In other company news, LANXESS AG plans to invest €35 million in its group of facilities for the production of basic chemicals in Leverkusen, Germany. The specialty chemicals group is expanding capacity of cresols and their derivatives and monochlorobenzene by up to 60 percent. Work on extending production plants is scheduled for completion by the beginning of 2010.
