Convenience Products, maker of Seal-Krete® brand products, has introduced a new resin-rich, self-cross-linking epoxy bonding primer called Lock-Down™ specifically for concrete surfaces. Ultra-fine nanoparticles in the primer penetrate deeply into concrete, binding chalk and providing a clean, sound substrate for paint or decorative topcoats.

Convenience Products, maker of Seal-Krete® brand products, has introduced a new resin-rich, self-cross-linking epoxy bonding primer called Lock-Down™ specifically for concrete surfaces. Ultra-fine nanoparticles in the primer penetrate deeply into concrete, binding chalk and providing a clean, sound substrate for paint or decorative topcoats. According to the company, using the primer before painting will increase topcoat adhesion by 50% and significantly reduce the potential for cracking, peeling and chipping.

The primer is water-based and features low volatile organic compounds and ultra-low odor. It also complies with all California air pollution regulations and covers up to 500 ft2 per gallon on smooth concrete floors, or 250 ft2 per gallon on broom finished concrete.
