Plasticolors, Inc., has named Wayde Jenkins product development specialist at the company’s headquarters in Ashtabula, Ohio.

Jenkins


Plasticolors, Inc., has named Wayde Jenkins product development specialist at the company’s headquarters in Ashtabula, Ohio. In his new role, Jenkins will be primarily responsible for the designing, planning and execution of product development projects within the technical department. Prior to joining Plasticolors, Jenkins was active in product development for Sherwin Williams Automotive, Aexcel Corp. and PPG Industries.

Dr. James E. Kassner has joined The CHEMARK Consulting Group, Southern Pines, N.C., as a senior consultant.

WCB Flow Products, Buffalo, N.Y., part of SPX Process Equipment, Delavan, Wis., has announced the following organizational changes:
  • Mark Lechevet has accepted the position of scheduling product manager;
  • Mike Lovelace is the new customer service manager;
  • Wayne Spence has been appointed project manager/lean manufacturing; and
  • Bill Procaccini has accepted the position of operations manager.


Philip Mason has joined Deerfield Urethane, Inc., South Deerfield, Mass., as product/process development engineer. Roger Kahler has also joined the company as a staff sales and new business development manager responsible for managing existing Deerfield business and developing new business opportunities in the Eastern United States and Canada.

Quinn

Sartomer Company, Exton, Pa., has appointed Alan Pape as business development manager. Pape is responsible for developing new business and markets for the specialty polymers division of Sartomer. He reports directly to Bill Wittig, business manager of Sartomer’s specialty polymers division.

Gebhart

Sartomer has also made two personnel changes in its Midwest sales office. Terry Quinn was promoted to regional sales manager and will remain based in Chicago. He will report directly to Al Tuccio, Sartomer vice president of sales. Meanwhile, Chris Gebhart was named technical sales representative of the Midwest region to replace Quinn, his direct report. Gebhart will be based in Chicago.

Rees

Akzo Nobel, Sassenheim, the Netherlands, has appointed Jim Rees to succeed Rinus Rooseboom as general manager of the Car Refinishes business unit. Rees had served as general manager of sub-business unit (SBU) Car Refinishes Americas. A.B. Ghosh, formerly sub-business unit manager of Marine and Protective Coatings Americas, assumes the position of general manager, Americas. Rinus Rooseboom has been appointed general manager of Akzo Nobel’s newly formed global BU Decorative Coatings, integrating the two former decorative coatings business units, Deco Europe and Deco International.

Richards

Aleta Richards has been promoted to vice president of the Coatings Marketing Unit at Bayer MaterialScience LLC, Pittsburgh. In her new assignment, Richards is responsible for all sales and marketing efforts for the Coatings Marketing Unit in North America, including global key account management, sales/business operations, distribution, business planning and commercial trainee development.

Seffrood

Micro Powders, Inc., Tarrytown, N.Y., has appointed Mary Seffrood as new Chicago-based regional sales manager. She formerly held sales and marketing positions with Pan Technology, Inc., and T.H. Hilson Company.

Paul H. Shipp, Ph.D., P.E., has been elected to the ASTM International board of directors for the term 2007-2009. Shipp, a senior research associate for the USG Research and Technology Innovation Center in Libertyville, Ill., advises research and operating management on strategic issues, trends and developments related to building products, codes and standards. He also directs research for major projects.

Robert Spadoni has been appointed president and CEO of Dallas-based Ribelin Sales. Spadoni will also assume the duties of president and CEO of KODA Distribution Group, one of the largest specialty chemical distributors in the country, consisting of Monson Companies, based in Leominster, Mass.; GMZ, based in Cincinnati, Ohio; and, recently, Ribelin Sales.
