Essen, Germany - RAG Beteiligungs-AG, parent company of Degussa GmbH, has changed its name to Evonik Industries AG. The new name comes in advance of an anticipated entry into the capital market, planned for the first half of 2008. Previous corporate brands such as Degussa will no longer exist; the chemicals business area will now operate under the company name of Evonik.
