BLUE BELL, PA - The Federation of Societies for Coatings Technology announced that Gerry J. Gough, ICI Packaging Coatings Ltd., Birmingham, UK, will receive the FSCT's 2003 George Baugh Heckel Award, the organization's highest honor.
The award, which recognizes outstanding contributions to the FSCT, will be presented at the Federation's 81st Annual Meeting on Nov. 13 in Philadelphia. Gough is the first resident of the United Kingdom to receive the award and to serve as president of the FSCT.
Gough was president of the Federation in 1999-2000, and was president of the Birmingham Paint, Varnish, and Lacquer Club, now the British Society for Coatings Technology, in 1987-88. He is a 33-year veteran of the coatings industry.
