CHEVY CHASE, MD -- RadTech International North America announced the launch of planning for the organization's biennial conference and trade show, the newly renamed "e|5: UV & EB Technology Expo & Conference," and issued a call for papers for the event. The conference and show are scheduled for May 2-5, 2004, in Charlotte, NC.

The event, formerly known as "RadTech 2004," will offer changes designed to showcase UV/EB processes as "efficient, enabling, economical, energy saving, and environmentally friendly," or "e|5." RadTech said the technical conference will remain virtually unchanged, but the organization said it will launch a major initiative to develop basic educational activities for users and potential users of the technology.

For the exhibition, RadTech is adding 5,000 square feet of "non-selling" space in the middle of the exhibition floor, to be called a "TechCell." The area will focus on UV/EB application basics in various industries, including adhesives, automotive, composites, digital printing, graphic arts, plastics, auto-refinishing, wood, and others.
