(KMS) will showcase its 10”-diameter KPAK™ ultrafiltration (UF) module for the electrocoat paint industry at Electrocoat 2008 in the Texas Room at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown Hotel May 14-16, 2008. The design reportedly offers increased efficiencies that significantly reduce required floor space, installation time and operating costs.
Koch Membrane Systems, Inc. (KMS) will showcase its 10”-diameter KPAK™ ultrafiltration (UF) module for the electrocoat paint industry at Electrocoat 2008 in the Texas Room at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown Hotel May 14-16, 2008. The design reportedly offers increased efficiencies that significantly reduce required floor space, installation time and operating costs.
According to the company, the device achieves a higher permeate output relative to paint feed than other spiral membrane elements. The module consists of an element containing 462 ft2 of membrane area. The design reportedly results in virtually no bypass, lowering paint feed flow requirements and consequently providing additional savings in equipment costs since the system uses smaller pumps, less piping and fewer filters.
The modules incorporate Victaulic® clamps that reduce work strain and safety hazards for operators and simplify module removal and disposal.
