FEVE fluorinated resins have been used in the coatings market for over 30 years. Their excellent weatherability has given them a place in exterior coatings when the requirement is long-term durability.
However, the original FEVE resin technology could not create formulations that met VOC regulations, so FEVE water-based emulsions were brought to the market. These emulsions, besides exhibiting great weatherability properties, have been found to improve additional properties such as water resistance, which can help increase resistance to mildew and dirt pick-up.
In addition to this lab work, testing has been done with blending solvent-based FEVE resins with lower molecular weight polyols to reduce VOC levels and improve specific properties.
This webinar will present the results of these new formulations and the subsequent lab work.
