NACD Welcomes TSCA Reform Passage in the U.S. House of Representatives
ARLINGTON, VA – National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) President Eric R. Byer issued the following statement on the U.S. House of Representatives’ passage of H.R. 2576, the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act that would reform the 40-year-old Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
“As TSCA reform legislation moves onto the U.S. Senate for final approval, NACD praises House lawmakers for their commitment to making much-needed improvements to our nation’s chemical management system. Industry stakeholders are now one step away from putting a bill on the President’s desk that would overhaul how we assess and manage chemicals in the marketplace. We strongly encourage the Senate to approve H.R. 2576 without delay and send the bill to the President for his signature.
