Nouryon Reduces CO2 Emissions with Bio-Steam Supply
AMSTERDAM — Nouryon (formerly AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals) will increase the use of bio-steam at its salt production at Hengelo, the Netherlands, making the production more sustainable and reducing CO2 emissions.
The bio-steam, produced by waste processing company Twence, will allow Nouryon to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 50,000 tons per year, equivalent to approximately 400 million car kilometers.
