Cray Valley Receives ISCC PLUS Certification for Production of Renewable Resin
Cray Valley announces the extension of ISCC PLUS certification on the Carling Saint-Avold platform in France, enabling the production and commercialization of certified renewable resins within this specialty business unit. The Carling Saint-Avold petrochemical platform is producing specialty resins, as well as value-added polymers primarily intended for the automotive industry, and is also TotalEnergies’ main polystyrene production site in Europe.
To accelerate the circular economy, the platform is developing the use of feedstocks obtained through the processing of bio-based/advanced recycling materials. These certified sustainable entrants allow the production of polymers with identical properties to virgin polymers, and with a significantly reduced environmental impact. ISCC PLUS (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification), a globally applicable certification system, ensures traceability and secures custody through a mass balance approach along the value chain, from feedstock to the final product.
