Home » DS Containers' Two-Piece Steel Can Awarded First Place in Aerosol Category
DS Containers' two-piece steel can took first place in the aerosol category at the International Cans of the Year competition held in Barcelona, Spain, in October. With no side-seam and no shoulder-seam, the innovative can features a unique application of a polymer coating to tin-free steel. The winning entry, for Faultless Starch, was made in Batavia, Ill., using proprietary technology developed by DSC's partner, Daiwa Can Company of Japan.
The Cans of the Year awards, established in 1996 by The Canmaker Magazine, provide an international platform proclaiming the diversity of the metal can as a packaging medium. The winning cans will be on display again in Las Vegas at Cannex de las Americas in April 2007. Meanwhile, visit www.dscontainers.com.
