Wattyl Acquires Wasser High-Tech Coatings

Wattyl of Sydney, Australia, has acquired Wasser High-Tech Coatings of the United States.

KENT, WA — Wattyl Ltd. of Sydney, Australia, has acquired Wasser High-Tech Coatings Inc. of the United States, a manufacturer of industrial-maintenance coatings.

Wasser, based in Kent, WA, will retain its name and management, Wattyl said in announcing the deal. In addition, Wasser’s coatings technology, which includes products for the offshore, marine and industrial markets, will be licensed to a separate European company as part of a plan to expand Wasser’s marketing reach in Europe and the Middle East, Wattyl said. Wattyl operates a wholly owned subsidiary in the United States, Wattyl US.
