Job quality and productivity, health and safety, and clean air all require mechanical ventilation, which provides a constant amount of exhausted air while the booth is in operation. It keeps VOC vapors at the required low flammable level (LFL) and helps reduce rework. Uniform airflow along the entire length of the exhaust slot eliminates air whirls and helps to prevent "dead air" pockets in an effort to protect the finished surfaces, the painter and the environment. Mechanical ventilation also provides immediate capture of overspray, collecting it in a safe place to provide safety to life and property.
Sometimes, coaters that experience dust deposits on the already finished surfaces blame these deposits on makeup air filters. The filters are replaced with new ones but, even with the brand new filters, sometimes dust deposits still occur.
