LANXESS Raises Prices for Hexanediol

COLOGNE, Germany – Specialty chemicals company LANXESS recently announced it is raising prices for 1,6-hexanediol (HDO) globally with immediate effect. The increase amounts for €300/mt. The reason for the adjustment is the significant rise in energy costs over the past months.

HDO is an important precursor for high-performance coatings, fibers, adhesives, polyurethanes, and polycarbonate diols, and a reactive diluent for epoxy resins.
