Valspar Corp. Names Steve Briggs To Lead E-Commerce Initiatives

MINNEAPOLIS - The Valspar Corp. has named Steve Briggs to lead the company's corporate e-commerce initiatives and announced several other major appointments. Briggs, a senior vice president who had been responsible for Valspar's architectural, automotive and specialty-coatings product lines, assumes responsibility for defining the role of e-commerce in all of the company's businesses.

Bill Mansfield, also a senior vice president, assumes responsibility for the architectural, automotive and specialty coatings product lines, and Senior Vice President Steve Erdahl assumes responsibility for the packaging and industrial-coatings product lines. John Ballbach, currently group vice president - Packaging, has been promoted to the position of senior vice president - Operations.

Valspar Chairman, President and CEO Richard M. Rompala said the moves "will better will better position us to define and implement Valspar's e-commerce business strategy and to realize our full potential in this important initiative."
