Coatings Trends and Technologies Using Titanates and Zirconates

Salvatore Monte, President, Kenrich Petrochemicals, Inc., is presenting a paper on some of the more interesting recent and historical developments in titanate and zirconate technology. Titanates and zirconates are shown to reduce the viscosity of inorganic/organic materials; increase flow and strength of polymers; functionalize the pigment/filler/fiber interface; enhance thermal and electrical conductivity; prevent corrosion and aging; promote adhesion; and do not need substrate hydroxyl groups.
