Energy Management by Intelligent Coating Systems

During the Smart Coatings session of the Congress on Tuesday, Robert Maul, Eckart, Germany, offered a presentation on intelligent coating systems designed to substantially contribute to saving energy and reducing climate-damaging CO2. Based on intensive research, the company has developed pigments and pigment compounds that demonstrate an optimal performance of IR-reflection and/or emissivity. With those characteristics in hand, attic barrier coating emissivity values of less than 20% can be achieved. Thus, it is possible to cost-effectively contribute to future-oriented creative energy management.
