Atomization of Liquid Coatings
Finish quality is basically determined by the breaking up – atomization – of liquid coatings into smaller droplets. This atomization determines how the coating will flow out – flatten into a finish quality that is the acceptable finish to your customer and product market. This presentation will describe all the current forms of atomization, the transfer efficiency of the selected atomization, and the equipment currently used in the various markets today. From basic forms to the most sophisticated methods and the relevant industries where finishes and methods are used. Also described will be the forms of control that can be fitted to the finish quality and atomization selected. This is a relevant topic for any company applying wet paints and coatings as well as the coatings suppliers.
