Dr. Shan Jiang is an Associate Professor in the Materials Science and Engineering department at Iowa State University. He worked at the Dow Chemical Company as a project leader before joining Iowa State University. Dr. Jiang has published more than 70 peer-reviewed journal articles and filed over 10 U.S. patents. He has received multiple awards, including the Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award, the R&D 100 Award, the ACS-PRF New Investigator Award, the Miller Faculty Fellowship, the 3M Non-Tenured Faculty Award, and the Siltech Best Paper Award. His research has received funding support from NSF, DOE, DOD, NASA and USDA.
