Dr. Xiaofeng Tang is a versatile Principal Scientist at U.S. Silica who is focused on developing advanced mineral processing technologies that yield high-performance specialty products. Over the last two decades he has worked in both the industrial minerals and building materials sectors and developed a range of products offerings that are used as ceramics, abrasives, roofing system components, and coating raw materials. When he is not a the lab bench, he enjoys playing basketball, soccer, and volleyball, or watching his daughter compete in tennis matches. Xiaofeng received a doctorate in Materials Science and Engineering from Clemson University and a Master degree from Tsinghua University in China.
