ABSOLUTE COATING CHARACTERIZATION AND COLOR ANALYSIS
Start Date:9/1/2016
Start Time:2:00 PM EDT
Duration:30 minutes
Abstract:
The ability to measure both reflectance from, or transmittance through, a sample at various angles is important to many industries, particularly to anyone producing products that must interact with moving sources. This includes manufacturers of solar cells, aeronautical instrumentation and devices, and sophisticated architectural building materials. The angle of the sun, for example, is constantly moving, which can affect the functionality of the device or material.
This presentation will demonstrate the ease of use and accuracy of a UV-Vis-NIR spectrophotometer equipped with a variable angle measurement system for the analysis of various samples, including solar panels, window glass, and filters.
Key Points...
- Learn the importance of measuring absolute specular reflectance and transmittance of common samples at various angles of incidence
- Discover the advantages of an absolute variable angle system
- See how UV-Vis-NIR can be easily applied in your laboratory
