AHMEDABAD, India - The 11^th International Symposium on Surface Protective Coatings and Paint Expo (SSPC INDIA – 2014) will take place at the Crowne Plaza Ahmedabad City Centre, Ahmedabad, India, on January 19-21, 2014. Organizers of the event have issued a call for papers for the technical symposium.

The symposium will include presentations on protective coatings and surface engineering. Protective coatings topics include: marine coatings, advanced coatings for refineries and pipelines, coatings for power plants and cooling towers, pipeline coating integrity and monitoring methods, nano-based coatings, fire retardant and intumescent coatings, and remedial methods and maintenance coatings. Surface engineering topics include: thermal spray coatings for industrial applications, high-temperature coatings, and wear and erosion-resistant coatings. Authors interested in presenting a paper at the symposium have until September 15 to submit an abstract. Full papers will be due December 15.
