Powder coating is efficient and durable. However, there are situations where the airborne powder can be combustible. Because of this, NFPA rules do apply to these applications. Proper airflow and filtration is essential.
There are several production systems available for companies that require flexibility with tinted paint or tinted products on a daily basis. Among the different tinting production methods is the “in-can” production system - an efficient and economical solution.
In this study, we evaluate the use of broadband mercury, 385 nm LED and electron beam (EB) curing across a range of different acrylic formulations. The different methods of curing are compared by examining their effect on oxygen inhibition, cure speed and material properties.
Cold Spray Technology covers a wide spectrum of various aspects of the Cold Spray technology, including gas-dynamics, physics of interaction of high-speed solid particles with a substrate as well as equipment, technologies, and applications.
Our May issue focuses on sustainability, specialty chemicals, automotive coatings and manufacturing equipment. This issue will also be distributed at the Eastern Coatings Show in Atlantic City, May 15-17, 2017.
