PHILADLEPHIA – Arkema has decided to sell its Specialty Amines business in North America to Taminco, Gent, Belgium, whose core business is the production of amines and derivatives. The specialty amines are produced in the Riverview, Mich., facility and are part of Arkema’s Thiochemicals business unit. The Specialty Amines’ activity generates sales of some $72 million. The divestment is part of Arkema’s strategy for a selective management of its asset portfolio.
