FLORHAM PARK, NJ – BASF has received the Outstanding Supplier Award for 2008 from Guild CPO, a global buying cooperative that focuses on the procurement of raw materials and services for the coatings industry and related industries.

During 2008, BASF had a focused effort and commitment to the guild and its members. That effort included teaming up with motivated paint manufacturers to help them qualify and formulate paints using BASF acrylic resins. The momentum gained from these efforts continues to grow, and BASF anticipates continued success with guild members.

Also new this month, BASF Coatings announced it has officially launched its new production and lab capacities for basecoats at the Würzburg, Germany, site. The expanded lab capacities will permit BASF to respond to its customers’ wishes quickly and with more flexibly.
