ELMHURST, IL - Chemcentral Corp. announced a definitive agreement to acquire the Specialty Additives business of The C.P. Hall Co., a purchase that Chemcentral said will expand its distribution of specialty chemicals in the Midwest. The transaction is expected to be completed early this year.

Chemcentral President and Chief Operating Officer John R. Yanney said the acquisition reflects a strategy to expand the company's specialty chemicals product line. C.P. Hall President and Chief Operating Officer John J. Paro said the sale reflects the company's plan to focus on the development of patented materials and application technologies in polymer additives and personal-care products.
