Clariant is reorganizing the sales and distribution of its aluminum finishing activities in Europe. Effective April 1, 2007, the Swiss Omya group will be the exclusive distributor of the aluminum finishing products of Clariant’s Pigments & Additives Division. According to the company, the goal of this measure is to reduce logistics complexity and offer improved customer service in all of Europe from one source. The transfer reportedly will enhance the regional service level, while the reduced logistics complexity will allow the Pigments & Additives Division to intensify its focus on production, application technology, and research and development.

Specialized Clariant staff will transfer to Omya to ensure continuity, a smooth transition, and efficient expansion of sales and services.
